Happy New Year!
Saturday, December 31, 2005, 03:58 PM

I don't think that I was quite prepared for the changes that my life will be going through as the new year approaches, but I am very excited.

I have also become very aware of how many people read this blog. I figured that very few people actually read it and then I found out, in my lower moments, that there were a ton of people reading this, encouraging me, thinking of me, and praying for me.

I am blessed.

So my thoughts on the new year...

JOB - I will be a product manager at Jore, Inc. Who are they and what will I be doing? Well the position is 'product manager' and I will be taking products through their lifecycle. This job will include as much (if not more) project manager work as well as product manager, but I don't think I could enjoy a truly pure product manager position, so that's a good thing. They basically make tool parts like the things you would buy at SEars or Home Depot. I'm still not sure what division I'll be handling, but I'll find out on Monday.

BABY - I'm going to be a daddy again. How cool is that. I really don't think I need to give as many details about the baby since most of you know how that works, but the most important part is that Anya says it is going to be a boy. In the end I will love it no matter what, but it would be fun to have a boy. Anya has never been wrong in regards to the boy or girl question -- she's like some kind of neo-natal oracle -- so it will be intersting to see how that turns out.

LIFE - Pretty good. I am lucky to live where I do. I have a great house, a great family, and I am reminded how bleseed I am every day. Sure, I look at friends who have their lives wrapped up and taken care of for them or guys I know that clear 30-40 million a year, but I am truly happy when it comes right down to it. That counts for a lot.

TRIP - The trip to So Cal was cool, but a bit rushed since there was so much to do. I enjoyed the cruise (poor Judy had morning sickness) and I really enjoyed getting to know my little sister's boyfriends a bit better. I went snorkling in Catalina and got some pretty cool underwater pictures. I'll try to post a couple if I can get to someplace to have them scanned.

Note to self...

Call your mom and tell her that your wife is pregnant BEFORE posting it on the internet.

Wow, what a differnce 24 hours makes
Tuesday, December 20, 2005, 07:09 PM
Well, in 24 hours the following happened...

-- went to disneyland
-- got the job offer for the interview I thought I bombed
-- found out that I'm going to be a daddy again!

Pretty cool. God is faithful if we're patient.

I'll post pictures of the cruise soon, but the internet access on the ship is costing me .50 a minute, so there won't be many.

Wednesday get together
Sunday, December 11, 2005, 06:01 PM

We are cancelling the Wednesday night get together because we are not sure what time we will be there and what the weather will be like. I'm watching the snow in Utah and if it does snow tomorrow night, then that will throw us off. Not a great choice, drive through UTah at 30 miles an hour (for 600 miles) or take a 300 mile detour.

Not my usual post
Friday, December 9, 2005, 09:29 PM
Well, I was supposed to hear something today from the interview that I had this week, but there was no call. That means I probably didn't get the job. This really bums me out because it looked like it would be a good company to work for. Opportunities around here are rare and I can't really afford to miss many more.

I'm trying to be tough, but I think I need a moment of self pity and then I can move on and figure out what the heck I am supposed to be when I grow up.

I hope tomorrow brings a new opportunity...or a sign...or anything.

Cool, I won!
Tuesday, December 6, 2005, 09:58 PM

My new hobby is entering online contests. I got my first win this week (if you don't count the monster Marvel vs. Capcom arcade machine I won 4 years ago).

CLICK HERE to see what I won

You'll have to scroll half way down. This will be perfect for the game cabinet I am building.

We're going to have a get together on Wedenesday December 14th at 6:00 so that we can hang out with some of you that we haven't seen for a while. Friends and family are welcome. It will be at my dad's house in Dana Point so just EMAIL ME and I will send you directions.

No need to bring anything as we will provide snacks (for kids and adults) and drinks (for kids and adults).

Lots of things

Job
I have an interview on Tuesday. I have thoroughly researched the company and have concluded that this could be a VERY good thing.

The Snow
It figures, the car that I just spent $500 to put snow tires on has died. So I have one dead car, one in the garage that I can't drive in the winter and one sitting at the mechanic's for the last four months. I guess the good news is that when it did work, the van drove very well in the snow with the studded tires.

I guess the only thing to do on a day like this is to keep positive and look forward to the challenges that the week will present.

It's still snowing!
Thursday, December 1, 2005, 01:00 AM

It's still snowing but I feel better now. We got studded tires and now I don't have to worry so much about my family sliding down the hill backwards to their deaths.

You know, it's the little things that make me happy. Despite the fact that I now need to sell a kidney to pay the things off. Hmmm, well I guess my family's lives are worth it.

I wonder if I can hibernate for the next three months.
