Logan's First Birthday Party
Monday, July 30, 2007, 01:54 AM
We had Logan's birthday party yesterday. Even though there wasn't a lot of people there, Logan seemed to enjoy himself.

It's hard to believe but our little guy is already 1 year old. His party is tomorrow. Here he is with some of his gifts.

Avoiding Writing
Tuesday, July 24, 2007, 05:02 PM
I've only written about 12 pages in the last two weeks, but I've spent over 100 hours doing it. That's very tough for me since I usually just want my rough draft to be my last draft, but with NASA I need to be a lot more careful.

I need a quick diversion.

A poll came out the other day listing the 100 funniest movies. I don't really know what qualifies as a 'great' funny movie, but these are the ones that made me laugh hard.

In no particular order they are:

A Fish Called Wanda
A Night at the Opera
Airplane!
American Pie
Animal House
Arsenic and Old Lace
Benchwarmers
Best in Show
Blazing Saddles
Dodgeball
Duck Soup
Dumb and Dumber
Eurotrip
Fletch
Groundhog Day
Kingpin
Life of Brian
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Napoleon Dynamite
National Lampoons Xmas Vacation
Office space
Old School
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Scary Movie
South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut
Talladega Nights
Team America: World Police
The Blues Brothers
The Gods Must Be Crazy
The Naked Gun
The Toy
There's Something About Mary
This Is Spinal Tap
Tommy Boy
Top Secret
Trading Places
Young Frankenstein

More Bands That No One Cares About
Tuesday, July 24, 2007, 04:19 PM

...but I guess it's my blog.

OZOMATLI is one of my favorite bands. I've seen them four times, once at a party (in Malibu), once on fourth of July prior to a Galaxy game (with the Stewarts), once at House of Blues Anaheim (with the Stewarts again), and somewhere else that escapes me for some reason.

Even though their latest album hasn't gotten the best reviews out of their whole library, it's still better than most groups ever get.

If you don't like the usual blend of music, but still want it a little poppy then try their new CD. Great party CD.

DON'T MESS WITH THE DRAGON

If you want it a little more 'street' then get the first one, the green CD. That one has Chali 2na and Cut Chemist from Jurassic 5 on it.

It's a Twister!
Thursday, July 19, 2007, 12:15 PM

Last night I had the Brastero Tech guys over to work on our NASA proposal. One of the guys is a volunteer fireman and he got a call that a twister was touching down a few miles from my house. We went outside and while we couldn't see it because of the trees, we could definitely hear it.

It would have dissipated before it got up the hill, but it was still a little bit freaky since those thing used to completely freak me out when I was a kid.

In This Moment
Wednesday, July 18, 2007, 06:33 PM
This was one of the two greatest things about Ozzfest. I was waiting to see them and I wasn't disappointed. Now, since they were at Ozzfest it goes without saying that parents, grandparents probably won't like them. That said, their lyrics are great, their music is intense, and that girl has amazing stage presence. I realize that there's only about 5 or 6 of you who read this that will listen to them, but man, they're good.

IN THIS MOMENT - PRAYERS

And, in case you're wondering, or are not familar with the style, the screams say, "God, please hear me, calling"

Sorry About the Downtime
Monday, July 16, 2007, 11:07 PM
I had to change hosting services and when I moved the blog over it was completely screwed up. The photo gallery is still down and will be for a couple of more days. The blog looks as though it is back to normal though.

So what have I been doing since my last post in June?

-- Working on my NASA proposal
-- Went to Ozzfest this weekend
-- Spending time with my family

I love my life.

Don't Expect to Hear Much From Me
Saturday, June 30, 2007, 11:34 PM
July is going to be busy...super busy.

Let's see, I still need to open 13 online stores, redo the inventory on all of them, release our software plug-in (ZenCart to Quicken), we have a major landscaping job that I need to organize and get the contracts ready for, the solicitations for NASA contracts comes out this month, so do the DOD solicitations and I'm selling the Z3.

Wow.

So I'll be a little busy. Just don't be offended if I don't call or update the blog much.

Bears Bears and More Bears
Tuesday, June 26, 2007, 10:24 PM
I think I have counted 4 different bears this year including a cute little cub. He looked like this guy but a little darker...

The fish and game guy came up on Saturday and I guess the area is just crazy with bears this year. Not a big deal, but you have to put the garbage in the garage.

At least we're only seeing black bears. Our friends the Browns' have a grizzly sow and cub near their house.
